You may not have known that such a part existed in your vehicle, much less if it ever needed to be changed. But still, a cabin air filter is an essential part of your car's ventilation system that removes pollutants from the air before they get inside the passenger compartment.
Cabin air filters are typically located under a vehicle's dashboard or attached to the glove box. Others may be located in the engine compartment. In nearly all cases, cabin air filters can be changed in as little as 10 minutes - and that should be done at least every 12,000 to 15,000 miles or once a year.
Want to know if your car has a cabin filter? Refer to our handy Car Cabin Filter Chart [Download: 288 KB .pdf, 1 page]. It lists makes and models for cars up to 2007 and can tell you which filter you need and the filter location.

Please Note: The downloadable instructions included on air filter pages may be out of date, since new models of cars come out every year. However, we update the site regularly with information from the manufacturer. If you have any questions, please contact us.
