As you vacuum, an infrared beam monitors the level of microscopic particles of dirt that pass through it. A red light indicates when dirt is being detected, even dirt that you may not see. The light turns green when dirt and dust are no longer detected. A sensor switch allows you to choose high or low sensitivity.
The HEPA filter helps remove particles that other filters can miss. The seven stage filtration system keeps the motor and fan on the "clean side" of the air path which makes them more reliable and longer lasting.
