The PiKo-1 is one of the world's most sophisticated tools for managing asthma at home. Unlike traditional mechanical meters, which only measure peak flow, the electronic PiKo-1 also measures FEV1, considered by many asthma specialists to be a more reliable indicator of an impending asthma attack.
Small and lightweight (1.5 oz.) with 96 memory recall. Measures PEF and FEV1. Accuracy for readings is ±5%. The unit also displays color zones ("traffic light" color format relative to the patient's reference PEF or FEV1). The Piko-1 has a low battery indicator and uses two #357 silver oxide button cell batteries.
